Web Site Template Solution

With more entrepreneurial activities in Singapore as well as many other countries, we see more and more new businesses in Singapore ready to launch their web sites. We also understand that new startup businesses are often constrained by financial resources. Hence, we have launched a low cost solution for these group of entrepreneurs last month.

Template solution is not something new. Here, we provide a comparison for you to decide on “Templates VS Customized web design”:

Web site templates:
Low cost. You may not need any web designer to design your site
You may launch a professional looking web site in few days
Often, you can view a gallery of large database of site templates and choose a suitable one

Customized design:
The cost may be few times higher. But you get the look and feel that you ultimately want
Unique identity of your web site. It helps to portray a much better image for your business
Do not require HTML knowledge on your part

Google offers Online Payment Solution

After nearly a year of much anticipation, Google has finally launched “Google Checkout”. The new payment solution is intended for online merchants to offer their customers a more robust payment gateway. However, Google checkout is available for US citizens only, while Paypal is available worldwide. The downside for paypal is that it does not offer payment in Singapore currency.

After Google Checkout was launched in June this year, eBay reacted strongly by first updating their accepted payment policy to exclude Google checkout as a payment service on eBay. Since eBay is one of Google’s biggest customers for Adword, there are also speculations that eBay may cut down its marketing budget on Adwords.

You may want to find out more at http://checkout.google.com. But like I mentioned, its only available for US citizens at the moment. We do not know when will Google extend its service to the rest of the world.
